WHIP CITY JUDY JUDY JUDY
Jones, L. ’12

Seedling #03-247 [#95-19 (CAMEROONS x MALAYSIAN MONARCH) X ASTRAL VOYAGER] Tet, Dormant., UF CRISPATA, Quilling EM, 37” tall, 6 1/2” flower as is. 13 BC, 3 way branching (1 lateral + Y), pod & pollen fertile, no fragrance. The color is a soft pale lavender on the petals and sepals enhanced by a pale yellow watermark above a very green throat. As the day progresses, the lavender fades to a lovely cream with just a hint of lavender. What I have noticed with Whip City Judy Judy Judy is that the pistil will not be present in the first few blooms, but it does appear and she is fertile both ways. Hardy Zone 5.

Having friends is a wonderful experience, and having one that makes you laugh is even better, so with Judy Avery in mind, I have named this lovely daylily after a fun loving person who cares for me as a friend and as a daylily buddy as much as I care for her. I am so glad we met at a cancelled daylily meeting in January of 2001. We both have to travel far and the notice was sent after we left for the meeting and we still had a great time at that meeting with only a handful of people. $100.00 DF
